There must be something quintessentially English about Sir Christopher Wren’s 18th-century Royal Naval College (formerly Greenwich Hospital). It doubled for Buckingham Palace in The King’s Speech, The Iron Lady and The Queen, while it has played stately homes in Sense and Sensibility, The Wings of the Dove and The Duchess. It’s no wonder that the poshest of the weddings in that charming ode to posh Englishness, Four Weddings and a Funeral, was held in the building’s chapel and grounds.
