A ‘Suicide Squad’ comprised of convicts are given a chance to earn their freedom by waging an assault on a distant enemy weapons base. Easily taking the compound the soon discover a stockpile of corpses and realize that an unseen enemy is stalking them and picking them off one by one.
All though Legion is a science fiction movie, it very much follows in the vein of The Dirty Dozen. I am not entirely certain about this but perhaps the movie needed a slightly bigger budget? So that the actors could bring that little bit extra to the movie because it utilises an interesting plot in the form of a mysterious killer terrorising a group. This is something that is easy to screw up especially when you really do not care to much for the characters. Props should be given to the filmmakers who did not take advantage of any cheesy laser blast effects that seem to be associated with some low budget science fiction movies.
