A team of mercenaries head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator.
The Expendables is an iconic piece of high-octane action. Granted the whole use of a ‘suicide squad’ as a plot point has been recycled many times before, but that does not really matter considering that, it was so well done. From the little I have seen of Randy Couture’s acting, seems to be improving with every role that he takes.
Now there are some real bonus moments in the movie for some of the hardcore fans of action movies. Including a cameo appearance by the Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger and several fight scenes, which need to be seen.
When looking at the cast of The Expendables it is a matter of who is not in the movie considering that the majority of the cast are legends within the action genre.
The expendables may have been criticized for its extreme violence. Get off the grass people, yes, the movie is very violent. Though it is not gratuitous because all the violence is within the context of the movie.
