When a rebellious young detective and his by- the-book superior team up to solve the murder of an undercover cop, they soon discover a trail of corruption within their police unit that leaves them both suspicious of one another’s involvement.
Street Kings 2 is another movie that will join the long list of movies that are sequels in name only. A movie sequel is generally defined as being ‘a movie that is complete in itself but continues the narrative of a preceding work’. I suspect that this definition is either unknown or conveniently ignored by some filmmakers. Street Kings 2 seemed to be completely different in tone to its 2008 predecessor starring Keanu Reeves seemed to be slightly darker in tone then ‘Motor City’ which reminded me in part of the film Brian A. Miller’s caught in the crossfire.
The most compelling thing about this is how desperately we try to justify to ourselves the bad things that we do
