Sidney Prescott, now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey and Gale, who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill and her Aunt Kate. Unfortunately, Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.
When the first film of the scream franchise was released in 1996 it was something special it was frightening, terrifying and villains that some deep and dark level you could find yourself actually understand their actions none of this can be applied to Scream 4. 15 years after the release of the first film Wes Craven and studio head Bob Weinstein tragically tried to resurrect this dead franchise with the release another film. At best, Scream 4 can only be described as a cinematic enema. Possibly the casting of Ms. Emma Roberts should have been reconsidered, she may have a promising career ahead of her but judging by this performance she better be careful that her career has not disappeared entirely as a result of this film.
