Tintin and his friends discover directions to a sunken ship commanded by Capt. Haddock’s ancestor and go off on a treasure hunt.
There really did not need to be a 3D version of this The Adventures of Tintin: The secret of the unicorn. If you look at the history of 3D Film, you will find that we have entered its fifth age. If filmmakers continue, the seemingly popular trend of making 3D Films that essentially add nothing to the movie going experience there is a chance that they will kill the age and we will have to wait for the sixth age of 3D Film.
There was a brilliant visual style to this film the kind of thing that you would expect from Peter Jackson and the Weta workshop.
In itself, The Secret of the Unicorn is a brilliant movie that did not lose sight of its origins as many Easter eggs scattered throughout the film referencing other Tintin comics. I am sure that fans of the comic books will have fun trying to spot as many of the Easter eggs. I was somewhat disappointed about the fact Professor Calculus was not featured in this movie, though considering when I was younger and prettier I was more of a fan of Asterix and Obelix. So, you can understand the fact that I overlooked the fact that Professor Calculus did not appear in Tintin comics till the following adventure ‘Red Rackham’s Treasure’. So, I suppose I can look forward to any sequel that may come.
