At first, Kim’s baffled by this bizarre new world of posh people, champagne and skiing – but then she discovers snowboarding, and the chance to win some much-needed prize money at the big end-of-season competition.
Chalet Girl could not be more of a clichéd romantic comedy if it tried. There have been a thousand Movies like this that have been made and let’s be honest thousands more will continue to be made. It is true that Chalet Girl is nothing special but that it is not an entirely a bad thing, with the clichéd romantic comedy you know you’re pretty much guaranteed a warm fuzzy feeling by the end of the movie, the type of thing that you watch after having a bad day. Though keep in mind you will not be watching a cinematic masterpiece. The comedy of Chalet Girl really runs the length of being very slapstick to a few very well crafted gags delivered by British comedian Bill Bailey.
