A young woman grows up to be a stone-cold assassin after witnessing her parents’ murder as a child in Bogota. She works for her uncle as a hitman by day, but her personal time is spent engaging in vigilante murders that she hopes will lead her to her ultimate target – the mobster responsible for her parents’ death.

Despite the filmmakers behind Colombiana having a serious Action movie pedigree it should be noted that this movie was not a blip on the Australian cinema release schedule it skipped a cinema release and went straight to DVD.
Director Oliver Megaton showed some brilliant creative skill when it came to the action knowing exactly when to apply the brakes and when to hit the gas and it was also good to see that Colombiana was not the typical meathead action movie and that it had a degree of intelligence to it.
Though I am not familiar with a lot of her work Zoe Saldana seemed to hit one of the park.
