Decades-old found footage from NASA’s abandoned Apollo 18 mission, where two American astronauts were sent on a secret expedition, reveals the reason the U.S. has never returned to the moon.
The moon and the prospect of space travel is something that will continually captivate our imaginations for generations to come. That is why Apollo 18 seemed to have such a brilliant concept behind. I really have to admire speculative fiction writers and mockumentary filmmakers because they possess a brilliant creative genius. Despite the creative genius behind Apollo 18 there just seemed to be something lacking that ultimately took away from the overall fear factor of the movie.
I believe that maybe the filmmakers missed a possible opportunity to add to the realism of their movie. If Apollo 18 actually what it was edited together footage of secret space mission to the moon, then perhaps it would have been a better idea to have the end credits to be some sort of Easter egg on the DVD?
