Playstation Vita launched in Australia

PlayStation Vita has launched nationally and landed in stores today.
“Innovative, rich and immersive gaming experiences are in the DNA of PlayStation and we’ve drawn on years of expertise to create PlayStation Vita. This new device is a revolutionary step change in the portable games category, and offers the gold standard for active gamers on the go.” Managing Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Australia Michael Ephraim said.
Vita has a 5 inch OLED screen, physical PlayStation gaming buttons, dual analogue sticks, motion sensor (SIXAXIS), front and rear cameras and a rear touch pad. PS Vita has multiple social applications that will allow active gamers to be constantly connected to their PlayStation life and the world around them.
Playstation Vita will have a line-up of over 25 titles the include Uncharted: Golden Abyss, WipEout 2048, Everybody’s Golf, Lumines, Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour Edition , FIFA Football . The games library is set to expand to such games as LittleBigPlanet, Resistance: Burning Skies, Bioshock, Assassins Creed and Call of Duty.
“We know customers are seeking mobility and connectivity, but we believe they do not want to compromise on quality. We have a long term vision for PS Vita and we are focused not only on what we do right now at launch, but also what we do next,” Ephraim concluded.
