A mysterious Hollywood stuntman, mechanic and getaway driver lands himself in trouble when he helps out his neighbour.
If there is a list of actors under the age of forty whose career will be remembered, Ryan Gosling would definitely be on that list. Gosling gave a chillingly brilliant performance. The movie is based on a book that was written by American author James Sallis.
Despite some plot points that might seem to be identical with the Transporter franchise, director Nicolas Winding Refn brought a brilliant sense of style to the movie with a brutal yet not overly bloodthirsty touch to some of the action sequences while the soundtrack gave a 1980’s feel to some of the key songs. Both Albert Brooks and Ron Perlman gave brilliant performances. Albert Brooks brought an everyday sociopathic quality to his character while Perlman brought the pit-bull quality you expect from him when he plays a villain.
