A former Deadhead-turned-born again-Christian finds himself on the run from fundamentalist members of his mega-church who will do anything to protect their larger-than-life pastor.
It seems that Salvation Boulevard, is one of those movies that had a less than a stellar run at the box office. I do not even recall seeing a preview at my local cinema. However, this hilariously quirky little offering from writer and director George Ratcliff is one of those gems that you are glad to stumble across at your local video store. Though this movie is not completely against born again Christians yet Ratcliff shined a light on some of the hypocrisies in a positive way. He also showed how far people are willing to go to protect people who have a positive influence on their lives. A brilliant ensemble cast was assembled; I was impressed by Pierce Brosnan’s performance. He brought something sinister yet overwhelmingly foolish to the role.
