A young drug dealer sells his soul to the devil in order to become the #1 seller on the block.
Anyway you look at it the plot point of having somebody making a deal with the devil is always going to extremely interesting, especially if you consider how the person who made the deal reacts to what happens after the deal has been made. However, of course the filmmakers had the piece of mind to save an interesting twist for the very end. Simon Rex almost seemed to have been a poor casting choice, he did not seem to have the onscreen presence his role seemed to demand. If Ving Rhames was not cast in King of the Avenue, the movie would have been a complete failure.
My major problem with this movie, was that something seemed to be really off with the sound in places throughout the movie. It seemed that the sound guy had never heard of a Microphone Windsock.
