The Nazis set up a secret base on the moon in 1945 where they hide out and plan to return to power in 2018.

No matter if you call them Space Nazis or Moon Nazis there is just something ridiculously brilliant about Iron Sky. Iron Sky does not have any illusions of trying to be anything more than a good old-fashioned time at the movies that offers an interesting alternate view of the history of World War II. Iron Sky hits on many of the standard science fiction plot points.
There were some brilliant actors though I really enjoyed Julia Dietze, Götz Otto, Christopher Kirby and Stephanie Paul performances. Paul’s performance was a rather hilarious parody of Sarah Palin. Though judging by the early days of Sarah Palin’s Vice Presidential bid I cannot help but wonder if Sarah Palin is a parody of herself. With all of the world’s problems Iron Sky seems to make a good point, which essentially is that the world is seriously cracked and heaven help anybody who thinks that they might be the cure.
It also should be noted that Iron Sky is a co-production with companies from Finland, Germany and Australia
