An overbearing mother Daphne takes out an on-line personal for her youngest daughter Mae so that she will not make the same mistakes that she did and end up alone.

Because I said so is the best “Mum Movie” that I have seen in recent months, the Mum Movie being the type of movie that you would expect your Mum to hire or the type of movie that you would generally sit down and watch with her. Director Lehmann made a brilliant choice in casting Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore who have a brilliant on-screen chemistry together. From what I have seen of Ms Moore’s previous roles all great, it is clear that she has stepped up to the mark for this role.
