A former US Ranger Cameron Poe has just been released from prison and is hitching a ride home on a prison transport plane. Poe finds himself caught up in the middle of a hostage situation when the prisoners seize control of the plane.

Con Air is a brilliant action movie, and if it was left to a different group of actors things would have turned out for the worst. Director Simon West seems the perfect choice for this Jerry Bruckheimer production that gets the exposition out of the way by the time the opening credits have finished making this the perfect thrill ride.
