When going to see Frost / Nixon I was hoping that the movie was goin to primarily deal with the actual taping of the historic interviews between Frost and Nixon. Instead the movie deals with how important David Frost’s interview with Richard Nixon for society as a whole and the impact the actual interviews had on David Frost’s career. The film itself is based on the stage play writen by Peter Morgan about the interviews.
Ron Howard was genius because he insisted that both Frank Langella and Michael Sheen reprise their roles from the stage play because they brought a familiarity to the roles that no other actors could.
