Idlewild

Score 4/6

A musical set in a small town prohibition America. A speakeasy performer and manager must deal with the ambitions of gangsters, while his partner must choose between his new love Angel or his obligations to his father.

With an excellent soundtrack by OutKast, Idlewild is one of the best musicals that I have seen in years. Writer and Director Byron Barber has delivered a movie that is truly worthwhile.
Both Benjaman and Patton give amazing performances thought at times it seems that they are overshadowed by Terrence Howard’s performance as the malevolent Trumpy.
