Red Dawn

Director: John Milius
Staring: Patrick Swayze
Rating: M
Score 3/6

World War 3 breaks out in the American Mid west when communist paratroopers sneak into the United States and land on a high school football field. A group of students organize themselves and wage a guerrilla war.

Red Dawn Illustrates a Cold War nightmare scenario based on a study that was undertaken by the CIA and the American War College into US weaknesses at the time. As a movie Red Dawn is not anything particularly special. However, it brilliantly highlights the sociological and the mutual attitudes of cold war adversaries.
