A veteran soldier returns from his completed tour of duty in Iraq, only to find his life turned upside down when he is arbitrarily ordered to return to field duty by the Army.

I’ve always wondered about the war movies that i have watched and whether a certain period of time should elapse before any film should be made dealing with a particular war and for it not be considered a propoganda tool.
Director Kimberly Peirce brought an interesting sense of style to stop loss which I previously have not seen in film that has been released by MTV. Both Channing Tatum and Ryan Phillippe had a chance to demonstrate their tremndous depth of talent. I was particularly impressed by Channing Tatum who really stepped things up from roles in previous films such as Step up and She’s the Man.
