When evidence links veteran LAPD officer Tom Ludlow to the execution of a fellow officer. Ludlow is forced to go against the police culture that he has been apart of his entire career, leading to him uncovering an extortion conspiracy that runs throughout the department.

Street Kings is brilliant movie adapted from a James Ellroy story and directed by David Ayers the man who wrote both Training Day and Dark Blue. Directing his second film is establishing the pedigree of a director of hard edged crime thrillers. Both Reeves and Whitaker are at their best while Hugh Laurie who is better known for his comedy roles holds his own in street kings.
