A Rock and Roll singer is taken captive by a motorcycle gang, in a strange world that seems to be a cross of the 1950’s and the present or future. Her ex-boyfriend returns to town and to that she was kidnapped and goes to her rescue.
Streets of Fire is one of those gems that failed to find its niche in its theatrical release due to the fact that at the time plans for possible sequels where shelved. Its Soundtrack, 50’s rock and roll with the attitude of the 80’s really is the heart and soul of the movie. In its own way, Streets of Fire is proof for those who maybe unfamiliar with Willem Dafoe’s work that he works ‘creepy’ to perfection. It should also be noted that from his work in Streets of Fire, for a long time Michael Pare has been underrated Action Star.
