A group of students on a research mission to the arctic discover that a deadly prehistoric parasite has been released after a woolly mammoth has been thawed out due to a melting polar icecap. They must somehow destroy the parasite before it reaches the rest of civilization.

This movie ticked the boxes for a stereotypical horror movie faster than Usain Bolt runs the 100 meters. Although director Mark Lewis had an important message that needs to be conveyed to everybody in the importance of the debate about global warming. However, I found myself unable to care about the movie itself because it failed to grab hold of me and make me care about the fate of the students. In reality, sadly this movie came across as more of a comedy then a horror movie. Maybe that was the goal of the film makers, I seriously doubt it. I believe that if I was able to care about the characters more this movie actually would be worth watching.
