When Carlton’s mum becomes ill he has to take an unexpected road trip to track down his estranged father, legendary baseball player Kyle. Carlton enlists his friend Lucy for emotional support. Once reunited, Carlton struggles to deal with a series of misadventures caused by his father’s antics .
Like most “road” movies this is about the power of change and being able to better understand yourself and the people around you. This is a brilliant movie, I never thought I would say this but Justin Timberlake is a great actor. However. Timberlake’s abilities as a great actor or Jeff Bridges performance seem to be complete overshadowed by Kate Mara and the power of her smile to completely steal the attention away from anybody maybe in a scene with her.
