“Heath” is found wondering in the night and is brought back to a lighthouse known as “The Heights” by “Earnshaw” where he immediately falls in soul-mate love with “Cate”. 12 years latter “Heath” has a budding musical talent and is still very much in love with “Cate”, her brother “Hendrix” has grown to despise “Heath” and takes his revenge on him when “Earnshaw” dies.
Fans of the classic Emily Bronte novel may not be a fan of this movie the seventh interpretation of “Wuthering Heights” because as with most novel to screen adaptations aspects of the novel are sacrificed to maintain the flow of the movie. It should be noted that you don’t need to read Wuthering Heights before watching this movie, and it goes without saying that watching the movie should not be substituted for reading the book. Wuthering Heights is a remarkably visually movie with a great sound track. Wuthering Heights is graced with some brilliant actors such as Erika Christensen and Mike Vogel who have a brilliant onscreen chemistry together. While Katherine Heigel and Kennedy Masterson do the best that they can with characters that don’t seem to be fully fleshed out.
