In Moscow, five young people lead the charge against an alien race who have attacked Earth via our power supply.

This is a take it or leave it kind of movie so if you are not a fan of science fiction movies you are not missing out on a work of cinematic genius. Dealing with a common thread of most science fiction movies The Darkest Hour brings a slight twist on ‘the alien invasion’. Where with most invasions the Aliens are looking to move into earth and conqueror humanity, the aliens for the darkest hour are seeing the earth as a one stop shopping spot for our resources.
The major downfall of The Darkest Hour was that for what it was that it was excessively slow, for movie like this everything needs to keep moving the movie seemed to want to keep the characters locked up in some kind of ‘life boat’. Something Battle Los Angles had a better pace and is more suitable as a movie to watch while drinking beer and eating pizza with your friends.
