ACT Chief Minister and Minister for Territory and Municipal Services, Katy Gallagher announced that the Albert Hall and Yarralumla Woolshed would soon become easier for the community to hire after the Government took steps to provide affordable public liability insurance. The more affordable public liability insurance for the community landmarks will have a 12-month trial starting July 1st 2012.
“It is expected that casual hirers, such as families and individuals, will now be able to obtain insurance coverage for approximately $150 (ex GST) per event which will be in addition to the hiring fee,” the Chief Minister said.
