In a twist to the fairy tale, the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.
It was a toss up between seeing Snow White And the Huntsman or Rock of Ages. Which to go see? Snow White won.
It stars Charlize Theron as the wicked stepmother (stepmothers always get a bad rap in fairy tales), Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman and Kristen Stewart as Snow White.
I love a god Fantasy and Lady Hawke is a favourite with me. It can be a great escape to settle down to a bit of romance, action, and comedy all in one on a cold winter’s night. But Snow White And The Huntsman left me feeling flat.
I’m not sure if it’s target audience was teenagers but the ones sitting near to us sounded pretty unimpressed.
The special effects were impressive, but the script made me cringe. A scene with a White Hart in the forest seemed out of place and progressed nowhere.
