After their plane crashes in Alaska, six oil workers are led by a skilled huntsman to survival, but a pack of merciless wolves haunts their every step.

For those of you who are interested The Grey is based on the short story Ghost Walker written by Ian MacKenzie Jeffers, who also co-wrote the screenplay with director Joe Carnahan. The real star of The Grey was not the plot, however simplistic it was, the star was the wilds of Alaska. They where eerie, scary and yet very beautiful.
What I found to be the major downfall of the movie was that I found it almost impossible to form any emotional bonds with any of the characters because at the start of the movie I knew that The Grey was the kind of movie where a-lot of the characters where going to die. Any form of emotional investment would change the over flavor of the movie for me.
