This one is based on a novel called The Feather Men written by Sir Ranulph Fiennes, which is alleged to be a true story, a point that has been debated. Killer Elite is director Gary McKendry’s feature length debut.
Killer Elite seems to be following the trend of action movies that could be described as the thinking man’s action movie because Killer Elite can seem to be a little slow paced. The difference between a thinking man’s action movie and any other action movie could be seen between the Bourne and the Rambo movies. It was good to see that Firass Dirani got screen time with screen legend Robert De Niro.
A fun drinking game to play with your friends while watching this one is to play spot the actor who either has lived or was born in Australia.
