Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, discovers vampires are planning to take over the United States. He makes it his mission to eliminate them.
I actually almost missed watching this one at my local cinema; though to be honest, I don’t think I would have been that heartbroken if I had. I probably would have been glad saving a few bucks hiring this one from the friendly neighbourhood DVD store.
For those of you keeping score this yet another movie where I have not read the book before seeing the movie. I suppose it is comforting that Seth Grahame-Smith wrote the novel and the screenplay. Yet it should be noted that this was one of those movie where the majority of the action seems to be given away in the trailer, and personally I feel that there where to many gaps between the action sequences.
I was somewhat impressed with Benjamin Walker’s performance he had a good screen presence though somehow I was let down by the casting choice of Rufus Sewell who gave a performance similar to almost every other movie that I have seen him in.
