As the Roman empire crumbles, young Romulus Augustus flees the city and embarks on a perilous voyage to Britain to track down a legion of supporters.

Another interpretation of the legend surrounding Excalibur, fans of the 2004 movie King Arthur, directed by Antoine Fuqua will probably enjoy this one and the way different aspects of Roman history where blended. For those of you playing the home game, the movie is based on a 2002 novel written by Italian author Valerio Massimo Manfredi.
Though epic in scale The Last Legion does not entirely rely on its action sequences ( though to be truthful the action in the last legion came off as being very tame especially when compared to something like the ’04 movie King Arthur) and there some were very amusing lighter moments.
