The human race’s last and only hope, Alice, awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex.
Okay, I will admit that I put off going to the friendly neighbourhood cinema for the past few days to watch the fifth instalment of this franchise because watching the fourth movie (Afterlife) seemed more like a chore then a pleasure.
For those of you who have not watched any of the other Resident Evil movies do not worry there is a little bit of exposition at the beginning so you won’t feel to lost ( but the franchise’s story has never really been that complicated). Retribution is going to be loved by fans of the action genre or of the franchise as it delivers all the action that you would expect.
Nobody gave a brilliant performance in Resident Evil: Retribution the entire cast gave an emotionally flat performance; that gave the movie the feel that it was a multi-million dollar live action prologue for a video game.
