An evil queen steals control of a kingdom and an exiled princess enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright.
Though this would not be one of the most loyal adaptations of the Grimm’s Brothers fairy tale, I would have to say that Mirror Mirror would have to be the best of the three Snow White movies that I have watched in recent weeks.
Mirror Mirror has some brilliant visuals and costumes that lend an almost cartoonish quality. This quality makes the movie significantly lighter than the original fairytale making it perfect for young children.
The entire cast gave brilliant performances, though I find that whenever Nathan Lane has a comedic role he always seems to be able to steal the scenes that he is in.
It was also good to see that actual little people were cast in the roles of dwarves unlike Snow White and the Huntsmen.
On a side not Lilly Collins is said to have auditioned for Snow White and the Huntsmen.
