A dramatization of the 1980 joint CIA-Canadian secret operation to extract six fugitive American diplomatic personnel out of revolutionary Iran.

This movie is based on events that transpired during the 444 day Iran Hostage Crisis that last from November 4, 1979, to January 20, 1981. You have to put the plot of this movie into the so strange that has to be file. Both Bryan Cranston and Ben Affleck gave great performances. It should be noted like many other amazing true stories certain liberties have been taken with the actual story, it seems this done for the director’s overall vision for the movie. I was actually very impressed with the use of what looked to be file footage from the initial takeover of the American Embassy in Iran. Do not go watching this one if you are a fan of fast paced action and thrillers it is a chess match that saves all of the action to the final act.
