Loveless, jobless, possibly terminally ill, Frank has had enough of the downward spiral of America. With nothing left to lose, Frank takes his gun and offs the stupidest, cruelest, and most repellent members of society. He finds an unusual accomplice: 16-year-old Roxy, who shares his sense of rage and disenfranchisement.
A certain amount of vicariousness is brought on by watching God Bless America, because I am certain that at least once in their life somebody has wanted to kill certain members of society because they are the stupidest or cruelest.
I loved Tara Lynne Barr’s performance and she had a brilliant onscreen chemistry with Joel Murray.
Despite how dark the concept of a movie about a couple of spree killers actually is, it was great to see that director Bobcat Goldthwait seemed to concentrate more on the point that he was making with movie and not the blood spatter effect every time Frank and Roxy killed somebody.
