Mild-mannered businessman Sandy Patterson travels from Denver to Miami to confront the deceptively harmless-looking woman who has been living it up after stealing Sandy’s identity.

The best advice that I have if you are going to watch this movie, is to wait until it has been released on DVD, with a running time of 111 minutes you might find a fast forward button helpful. Identity Thief does manage to deliver a few laughs but writers Craig Mazin & Jerry Eeten really did not deliver anything that is worth remembering. With Identity Thief it was clear that the film makers aspired to produce a comedic film, sadly they did not succeed.
I know that Melissa McCarthy has a depth acting ability, but with the past couple of roles that she has had it almost seems that she has lost touch with that ability.
