Special agent Hamilton goes undercover and joins a Russian mafia organization that smuggles swedish weapons to terrorists. Suddenly they are attacked by unknown group of heavily armed men who kill everybody except Hamilton and take the weapons.
It seems that the character of Carl Hamilton as Sweden’s answer to James Bond. In the interest of the Nation may have the similar realistic feel that the movies under Daniel Craig’s current tenure, without the massive set action pieces. Also Carl Hamilton doesn’t seem to have the charisma that seems to epitomize James Bond.
Considering that I was completely unaware of the Carl Hamilton novels and the other movies that were made during the 80’s & 90’s gave me the feel of getting obsessed with a television series half way through the second season. But that feeling of unease is quickly overcome which lets you enjoy the story.
