In 19th-century France, Jean Valjean, who for decades has been hunted by the ruthless policeman Javert after he breaks parole, agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s daughter, Cosette. The fateful decision changes their lives forever.
My apologies the review for this movie is long overdue, I find that watching some musicals can prove to be a bit of a chore (especially those high school ones released by Disney) though with that being said, I did enjoy the song Little People. Previously the only film version of Les Miserables that I was familiar with was the 1998 version starring Liam Neeson and Geoffrey Rush as Valjean and Javert and directed by Billie August.
Tom Hooper delivered a visually brilliant movie with an amazing cast and this movie also managed to thaw previously frosty opinion of Sacha Baron Cohen
Some people might be turned off of this movie because Russell Crowe was cast in this movie though in my opinion people who hated his singing in 30 odd foot of grunts really do not have that much to worry about.
