With the cold months of winter upon us, new figures released by EBay June show that there were 140,000 searches for onesies in June the figures also show that searches have risen 200 per cent since January when they were looked for only 44 000 times.
“The popularity of the onesie has seen parties dedicated to the all-in-one hoodie pop up all over the country. Wednesday is the most popular day to buy a onesie on EBay, which means people are placing their orders just ahead of the weekends festivities” EBay spokesperson and trend watcher Megan English commented.
Miss English explained that 54 000 onesies have been purchased from retailers on eBay via mobile phone already this year. Miss English added that just over three quarters of the onesies purchased on mobile phones where purchased in the eastern states of Australia with 16,900 where purchased in Victoria, 15,900 in New South Wales and 9,300 in Queensland.
