A long-divorced couple fakes being married as their family unites for a wedding.

This is very much a take it or leave kind of movie so much so that I almost left it, well to be honest I left it for about a week. For those of you who are wondering The Big Wedding is based on a French movie Mon frère se marie (My brother is getting married) written by Jean-Stéphane Bron and Karine Sudan. This probably was not the best of comedies that I have seen this year, sure there were a few laughs but there wasn’t anything fantastic about, though I don’t hate this movie, I seriously have to wonder why the time was taken to make an English version.
It seemed that The filmmakers where shooting fish barrel by casting Katherine Heigl and Amanda Seyfried in this movie seemingly because they appear in almost every other romantic comedy. I would like to point just because these Actresses appear in almost every other romantic comedy doesn’t mean that you should actually cast them, no matter how talented they are.
