Minister for Territory and Municipal Services, Shane Rattenbury recently opened a new park and ride facility in Calwell.
“The new $400,000 facility combines private vehicle use with bus travel to give residents a quick and easy trip to the City while at the same time saving them money by providing free parking. The parking spaces provided at the facility will also remove the stress of finding a car park in town,” Mr Rattenbury said.

Buses at these stops are scheduled to arrive every 20 minutes during the peak period and every 30 minutes during the off-peak, Mr Rattenbury added that the new Calwell park and ride facility will be the 15th in Canberra.
“It is important that the ACT Government provides Canberra with better public transport options make the city more sustainable and reduce congestion on the road network. This facility is another step towards this goal.” Mr Rattenbury commented.
