A mid-twenty year old couple who, in these difficult economic times, finds a mysterious, magical brass teapot which makes them money but at a surprising price. After realizing the teapots powers, John and Alice must decide how far they will go to fulfil their dream.

I know it’s an awfully pessimistic thing to say but the world can be an absolute bitch of a place sometimes. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people and there are people who struggle to keep the lights on and out food on the table.
The Brass Teapot poses one of those interesting hypothetical questions that you talk about with your friends ‘how far would you go for money?’ personally I would not go to the extremes that where portrayed in the movie. That being said some of those extremes proved to be fairly funny.
I was actually kind of impressed by Juno Temple’s performance, her character had a really interesting character arc. I might have to make an effort to explore more of her films.
For those of you how are interested the brass teapot was written by Tim Macy who adapted it from a short story of the same name that he wrote.
