A honeymooning couple enters a pawn shop wherein the man finds his missing first wife’s wedding ring, which causes him to begin searching the town for his kidnapped wife, two white supremacists plot to rob their meth supplier, and a struggling Elvis impersonator comes into town for a low-paying fairground show.
Ok, Fans of Paul Walker might want to note, Pawn Shop Chronicles was the last movie he starred in that released before his death. This was a great performance by Walker this role was a complete 180 from anything else I’ve seen him in most of his roles that I remember always seemed to have that clean cut leading man feel to them and it was so great to see him portraying a white supremacist addicted to meth.
Movies with an ensemble cast and overlapping plots like pawn shop chronicles always prove to be interesting and gives the filmmakers a chance to prove their creative flair in how they tie everything together in end. The graphic links between each of the three stories was nice touch by the filmmakers and it gave the movie a comic book store feel
