A young Englishman recently released from prison recruits his three best friends and to rob the local drug kingpin who is responsible for his incarceration. Can he get revenge and win back his fed-up girlfriend?

I have no memory of seeing a trailer for this one at the cinema or on DVD, and it also took me a little while to get a hold of this one on DVD. I did not forgot that I wanted to watch this one. For the record if you want to look for this one at your friendly neighbourhood DVD store this is also known as Wasteland also this was writer/director Rowan Athale’s first feature film as a director.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again but I like British because you don’t always see the main characters using guns. This causes the filmmakers show a little flair and to think outside the box.
Maybe this could have been ten minutes shorter to quicken the overall pace of the movie, but that’s a minor complaint. I loved the retrospective storytelling that Athale used and my opinion the payoff for the heist at the end of the movie puts the 2001 version of Ocean’s 11 to shame.
