Adam Bandt MP today said that the Greens’ Senate inquiry into Qantas had been vindicated by the evidence presented to it this week.
“Shining a light on Qantas’ activities has, if anything, made the Greens even more concerned about the airline and even more determined to keep it as a genuine national carrier. Mr Brandt said “First Alan Joyce refused to rule out off-shoring more jobs, on top of the 5,000 already proposed. This was followed by deeply troubling allegations about flawed safety procedures, which it was suggested were the result of off-shoring maintenance practices to cut costs.” Mr Brandt added.
Mr Brandt also commented that the Greens will continue to hold Qantas and the Government to account as we find a way to keep Qantas jobs on-shore and to keep Qantas our national carrier.
