The story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic 1960s rock group The Four Seasons.

For those of you who might have realised Jersey Boys was adapted from the Broadway musical of the same name about Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons which opened in 2005.
This is not going to be the type of movie attracts a young audience, personally when I went to the friendly neighbourhood cinema I was pretty sure that I was the youngest person in the cinema by thirty years. But don’t let that scare you away from watching this is a largely positive movie with the kind of music that will leave you feeling happy when you leave the cinema. I felt that the story glossed over a few aspects of the history of the four seasons, personally I would have liked to have seen more attention paid to Tommy DeVito who left the group when he racked up a debt with a loan shark, but that would probably only happen with some sort of unauthorized biography.
It should be noted that John Lloyd Young, Donnie Kehr and Erica Piccininni reprised their roles from the original Broadway Production of Jersey Boys. Personally I feel that this was a great casting approach by Eastwood. This ensured that John Lloyd Young who portrayed Frankie Valli gave a performance with the same familiarity Frank Langella and Michael Sheen gave their roles in the 2009 movie Frost/Nixon.
