A super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.

For a moment, I’d like to focus on the James Bond Franchise. No matter how acclaimed he is with the fans Daniel Craig’s tenure as James Bond and the serious more realistic tone that his films have taken which has signaled the killing off of what James Bond was considering that Eon Productions has rebooted the Bond universe. Kingsman with its own modern flair embraces the legacy that was set out by the Bond tenures of Connery, Moore and Dalton, which I feel that Craig’s films are lacking.
For those of you who weren’t aware of this Kingsman: The Secret Service was based on a 2012 comic book The Secret Service written by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. From what I have read the movie is not a faithful adaption of the 2012 comic book and that the filmmakers took the basic story concept of the comic book and created something of their own.
This was only Taron Egerton’s second movie roll and was a brilliant casting choice by director Matthew Vaughn, Egerton has the swagger and bondesque sophistication of a gentleman spy. The power of a gentleman’s suit truly is amazing. Sam Jackson made for an interesting villain in Valentine, though I would have liked to see that he met his ultimate end with a long falling death that was popularized by Hans Grubber in Die Hard. I also enjoyed Sofia Boutella’s performance, the bionic legs that her character had lent to some really cool fight scenes.
