Marianne Leitch has been appointed Executive Producer of ABC TV’s international current affairs flagship program Foreign Correspondent.
“Marianne is an exceptionally experienced and capable journalist and Foreign Correspondent will be in terrific hands.” ABC Head of Current Affairs Bruce Belsham said.
Mr Belsham pointed out that Leitch was a member of the original team that began Foreign Correspondent in 1992. She has produced many memorable stories for the program in locations as diverse as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Greenland and the Himalayas. Since 2005 she has combined field producing with the role of Associate Producer of the program. Belsham added that she has been acting in the role of Foreign Correspondent EP since the departure of Steve Taylor late last year.
Foreign Correspondent returns to ABC TV in mid-April.
