Jake Carter is assigned to protect a “high-value package,” a beautiful whistleblower trying to expose a corrupt army defense contractor.
This is not the best of franchises and it’s a fair assumption that it has struggled to find its legs considering that there has only been what could be considered a linear storyline with two out of the four movies in what is considered to be the ‘Marine’ franchise and Mike Mizanin is the first actor to appear in more than one ‘Marine’ movie. Though considering the lack of a linear storyline, I believe that only The Marine 3: Homefront and Moving Target are really the basis for what could be considered to be the ‘Marine’ Franchise.
Moving Target really is not the kind of movie that is going to revolutionize the Action genre, it’s the kind of movie where you pretty much know what you’re going to get before you hit play. That being said Moving Target is more watchable then Mike Mizanin’s previous movie Homefront and with Mianin’s slight improvement as an actor I have to wonder will he get a third chance to play the role of Jake Carter.
Congratulations should go to Danielle Moinet aka Summer Rae for being the first ‘WWE Diva’ to feature in a WWE Studios feature, though I would have liked to have seen that she was given a slightly more substantial role.
